David Blakely is a follower of Jesus. He is a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling, and has 31 years of experience in the counselling field.

David has worked in the church, community and prison environments, and has been called to glorify God by being present with people as they heal and grow, while guiding others to do the same. This includes a passion for the mental and emotional wellbeing of Christian leaders and counsellors. He looks forward to helping strengthen our safe Christian community, so that leaders and counsellors can heal while remaining leaders themselves.

Abigail Lee is the Executive Director of Healing Hearts Centre and currently serves as President of the Association for Play Therapy (Singapore). With over 15 years of experience in counselling and play therapy, she is passionate about supporting emotional healing and growth in individuals and communities.

Abigail believes in building bridges and working collaboratively to strengthen the Christian counselling community. She advocates for greater mental health awareness within the church, believing that emotional well-being is an integral part of faith and that the church can be a safe and healing space for many.

As an adjunct lecturer at various educational institutions, Abigail is also committed to equipping and mentoring practitioners. She oversees the Adlerian Play Therapy and Adlerian Sand Tray Play Therapy certification programs in Singapore and Hong Kong, creating supportive and encouraging opportunities for professionals to learn and grow together.

Outside of work, Abigail enjoys a good cup of mocha and spending time with her husband and their beloved standard poodle, Coco.

Danny Loke is a registered social service practitioner and certified behavioural consultant with two decades of experience in the social service. He is currently the Executive Director for Habibi Singapore, a Christian humanitarian NGO serving in the Middle East.

His unique career path includes ten years as an Air Warfare Officer in the RSAF before pivoting to social services. Studied in psychology and Dynamic Assessment in Mediated Constructivism Theory, Danny has led programs for adults with special needs at TOUCH Community Services and headed the Community Mental Health Department at Fei Yue Community Services. Beyond his primary role, Danny trains for the Council for Third Age, advocating and equipping senior for their mental wellness.

Danny is married to a Special Needs Educator, and together they foster a six-year-old son. He worships at St Andrew’s Cathedral.

Doreen holds a Bachelor in Psychology and Management which enables her to have better understanding of human behaviour and organisational dynamics. She had worked in the social service sector for the last many years in both administration and organisational planning including starting a female shelter home for ages 18-25 years old.

Doreen hopes to continue to utilise her administrative and organisational skills to support the Christian community of counsellors and practitioners so that they may better meet the needs of diverse communities.

Corinne embarked on her counselling journey in 2017 with a Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the College of Allied Educators followed by a Master of Counselling from Monash University in 2020. Throughout this time, she was working as a bank executive. She was a lay counsellor for over 2 years, later a volunteer call centre agent for a youth mental health helpline for a year and is now a counsellor in private practice. She hopes to use her strong administration skills to serve the larger Christian counselling community. Corinne is not new to the ACCS Exco, having served as its Assistant Secretary from 2022-2024.

Chong Mingli is a counsellor at Faith Methodist church with 15 years of experience helping people navigate mental health and social-emotional challenges. With a Masters in Counselling, she specialises in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy (CTRT), relationship coaching through Prepare/Enrich, and personality profiling with DISC. Currently, Mingli chairs the Mental Health Care and Advocacy sub-committee at ACCS. She believes in balancing professional expertise with a joyful personal life. Mingli is a wife of 13 years and a mother who loves engaging in creative play and exploring the world with her two kids.

Nga Woon holds a Master of Arts in Counselling from Singapore Bible College (May 2024). Grounded in both professional training and lived experience, she wishes to be used by God to journey alongside individuals with empathy and compassion. She seeks to support clients in their healing process, helping them navigate life’s challenges with hope and resilience.

Having gained prior experience from the Infocomm Technology and Education sectors, she currently practises as a freelance counsellor and serves as a volunteer counsellor with social service organisations, seeking to be a faithful instrument of care and encouragement in the lives of those she serves.

Dr Joyce Chan holds a PhD in Management from the University of Canberra and a Master of Social Science in Counselling, with over 28 years of leadership and practice in Singapore’s social service sector. Her work spans counselling, offender rehabilitation and reintegration, child and family services, clinical supervision, professional development, and capability building. A Master Clinical Member and Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling, she also contributes to professional education and sector development. As an Associate Licensed Minister with The Assemblies of God of Singapore, Dr Joyce is committed to integrating professional excellence, psychological insight, and Christian faith in transformative care.

Lydia has around thirty years of experience working with people across ages and varied settings as a Developmental Psychologist/Psychotherapist. Her clinical practice includes developmental counselling & intervention, marriage-family psychotherapy, parent-coaching, clinical training/supervision. Her corporate expertise across industries includes HR profiling, corporate coaching, people management & development, synergistic team optimization, leadership development, succession planning, and research & data mining for organizations and communities.

Lydia’s been active in the Executive Committee (EXCO) of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) since 2003 — she’s served on the SAC-EXCO for the last 3 terms. She is also currently chairing the Member Care and Prayer sub-committee for the Association for Christian Counselling (Singapore). As Research Communication International’s PEAKS Master-Trainer, People Analytics Consultant since 2007, and the Chief Psychologist & co-Founder of GetConnected.SG, Lydia is a staunch advocate for strengthening marriages, families, and communities.

Penny holds a Ph.D. in Counselling and Psychological Studies from Regent University (USA) and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counselling from Singapore Bible College (SBC). She is an Assistant Professor and serves as Superintendent of SBC’s School of Counselling (English), where she provides academic leadership and oversees the school’s programmes and operations.

Penny regularly conducts training and speaks on topics related to mental health, marriage and parenting, relationships, communication, and eldercare for churches and organisations. She is actively involved in Adam Road Presbyterian Church’s Mental Wellness Ministry and also serves on the Training Sub-Committee of the Association for Christian Counselling (Singapore).

Having lived in the UK, USA, and Australia, Penny brings a strong cross-cultural sensitivity to her work within Singapore’s diverse Christian community. She has been happily married for over three decades, is a mother of three adult children, and is a proud grandmother.

Edwin is director of Redwood Psychology, a mental health company. He has experiences in working with the government and the civil society in close to ten Asia-Pacific countries in the areas of public policy, consulting, transformation and capacity building. A seasoned educator and speaker, Edwin is also an adjunct lecturer at the Social Service Institute, under the National Council of Social Service. He is trained in Theology, Public Administration and is currently a doctorate candidate researching on leadership behaviours in transitions. He was previously a civil servant in the government of Singapore and had worked on the demographics of seniors and disability.
